Golda Ataa Akuffo

Research Fellow

Golda is currently pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology at the Hiroshima University in Japan. She has a Master of Public Health and Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Ghana. She also has a Certificate in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedures from the Asia Pacific School of Embryology – Chennai, India. Golda has experience in coordinating and undertaking research projects, notable among them are the Gender-Based Violence Services Mapping and Development of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response Action Plan under the Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development Project (GARID) – 2020-2025, a project funded by the World Bank and Treatment Outcomes and Adverse Effects in patients initiating and maintaining a Dolutegravir based treatment regimen, - an observational prospective cohort-based study also funded by the Global Fund. Golda is affiliated with a number of institutional bodies: Ghana Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists, Ghana Association of Clinical embryologists, Fertility Society of Ghana, and the European Society for Human Reproduction
