Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Arthur

Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Arthur is the current Provost at Lancaster University Ghana, having served as a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department, Business Studies. He is also a Reverend Minister at the Action Chapel International at the East Airport branch, Accra. Prior to joining Lancaster University, Dr. Arthur lectured at Central University for over 21 years where he taught various courses (Consumer Behaviour & Marketing Strategy, International Marketing, Export Marketing, Integrated Marketing Communication, Marketing Fundamentals) at both undergraduate and graduate levels. As the head of the Marketing Department of the University from 2011-2013, he helped develop various recruitment strategies for the University and participated in student recruitment visits to Nigeria. He was also instrumental in developing a collaborative MSc Marketing Research programme with GfK of Germany. Dr. Arthur also worked with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority/ Ghana Airports Company Limited as the Marketing Manager where he was responsible for attracting new airlines to operate to and from Ghana's International Airport, developing new businesses for the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), undertaking research on the fuel, catering, aircraft and cargo thruput,, representing GACL at Airport and Aviation related fora, handling the branding and positioning of the company and developing promotional materials for the company. He was very instrumental in the re-branding of GACL when it de-coupled from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority and was also the focal person for Tourism related issues for the company.

Dr. Arthur has a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Marketing from the London Metropolitan University, UK, Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Marketing from the Birmingham City University, UK. He also holds a Post-graduate Certificate in Academic Practice, education from Lancaster University, UK.
