Miriam Oppong

Miriam Oppong is an agribusiness expert and has worked as a consultant on the project “Circular Economy in Ghana's Agri-food Value Chain - A Triple Bottom Line Sustainability Assessment”. The project was implemented by the University of Sheffield, UK in partnership with the Scientific and Industrial Research Food Research Institute (CSIR-FRI) and Gold Coast Sustainability and Governance Institute (GCSGI) of Ghana and funded by the UK Research and Innovation, Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) and Innovate UK under the Knowledge Transfer Partnership Programme. Prior to that, Miriam worked with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Ghana as a national intern, where she was responsible for the preparation of budgets of various projects and review of financials of Small and Medium Enterprises supported by the projects. She also worked with the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Ghana as a consulting Associate where she reviewed data on material assets, liabilities, capital, income and expenditures and prepared comprehensive report on audit findings. Miriam holds a post-graduate certificate in food value chains in agriculture from the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, Germany, a Master of Philosophy Degree in Agribusiness from University of Ghana and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Miriam is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Agribusiness at the University of Ghana.
